The online calculation service on this website was started with the aim to test the potential of this kind of web tool and to retrieve some user feedback.
It is currently limited to five common temperature dependent properties and the components that come with the Explorer Version. For the future we are considering to optimize and extend this service to make it more applicable to practical engineering problems.
As we will not be able to extend the scope of components on a cost-free basis, we are evaluating ways to provide this extended service on a pre-paid basis for registered customers.

The parameters for the equations have been fitted to experimental data from the Dortmund Data Bank and are not those delivered by DIPPR or PPDS.

The results of the calculation do not describe the properties exactly. The parameters have been adjusted to a number of experimental data points which can be erroneous. A parameter regression minimizes the deviations between calculated and experimental data. This procedure can add a significant deviation between calculated and experimental data in addition to the experimental errors. The parameters are valid only inside the given temperature ranges.
This calculation service, including the parameters, is provided "as is".
